‘Don’t Call Me Francis’ Free Show to Be Held at Centennial Park

WILDWOOD CREST — One of the most popular and most requested party bands in the Delaware Valley will make an appearance at Centennial Park for the second straight summer.

Don’t Call Me Francis, which drew rave reviews after its first-ever Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series performance last summer, returns Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m.

For nearly 25 years, Don’t Call Me Francis has been considered one of the top party bands in the region. For close to 15 consecutive years, DCMF was voted the best band in South Jersey and the Delaware Valley in the Readers’ Choice Awards by the Camden Courier-Post newspaper.

Don’t Call Me Francis brings a unique style to the stage, performing non-stop high-energy sets filled with the best party and dance music from the 1960s through today. The band regularly performs at nightclubs, corporate events, summer music series and more each year, and makes regular appearances at venues across the Jersey Shore every summer.

Saturday’s event is a free all-ages show. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.

Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.

The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, supported by the Wildwood Crest Tourism Development Commission, consists of live music every Wed. and Sat. at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park through Aug. 30.

Other upcoming entertainment includes pop and dance hits with the Star Band on Aug. 20; dance and party hits with the Chatterband on Aug. 23; and American hits barbershop quartet-style on Aug. 27.
