Dog Walk – Half the proceeds go to No Dog Gets Left Behind

Celebrate the end of the dog days of summer with your canine on Saturday, September 12 at the 9th annual Mutt Strut on Cape May’s Beachfront Promenade. Strut with your dog anytime between 8 am and noon, with a donation of $1 per leg ($2 per person, $4 per dog). Registration is required and held near Convention Hall, Beach Avenue near Gurney Street. The rain date is Sunday, September 13.

This year prizes will be awarded to those dogs (and their owners) for best and crazy costumes and also for the best dog trick. There will be a dog demonstration, auction, and dog related handouts.

The event sponsor, Cape May County Dog Obedience Training Club, an AKC-affiliated club, has held dog training classes for over thirty years. Half of the event’s proceeds help the group’s training classes and community outreach.

Walkers also support a worthwhile cause, with half the event’s proceeds to No Dog Gets Left Behind. This group provides support to reunite military personnel with stray animals found and bonded with while at war.
