25th Annual Sophisticated Productions Nationals Dance Competition

Sophisticated Productions returns to the Wildwoods Convention Center for the 25th Anniversary National Dance Competition. The six-day event takes place Sunday, July 14 through Friday, July 19 with awe-inspiring performances from talented young dancers. The dance competitions will feature solos, duets, trios, small groups, large groups, lines and productions ranging from amateur to experienced dancers from all over the country. Mark your calendar for the 2019 Cape May County 4-H Fair July 18-20. Admission is FREE! Some returning events include a children’s pet show – open to all, livestock and horse shows, a Market Animal Auction, bouncy houses, and a Maker Space that combines elements of innovation, do-it-yourself skills, crafts, technology, and drones. Enjoy old fair favorites, such as Sawdogs Chainsaw Artist Matt Hass, the Jersey Cape Cruisers Antique Car Show, 4-H project exhibits, vendors with delicious foods and interesting items, and live local entertainment. The famous Chicken Bar-B-Que begins at 5 p.m. nightly. The adventurous Captain Kidd has set sail for Historic Cape May for the 56th Annual Cape May Captain Kidd Treasure Hunt to be held on the beaches of the nation’s oldest seashore resort. Youngsters are invited to rendezvous with Captain Will Kidd on the Cape May Promenade in front of Cape May Convention Hall on Sunday, July 21 at 1 p.m. Lucky treasure seekers will follow Captain Kidd to his secret site in search of the elusive buried treasure.
