This year’s Fourth of July may look a little different, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun at the shore! Here are a few ways you can Do The Shore this Fourth of July.

Spend the Day at the Beach
Nothing says the Fourth of July like a relaxing day in the sand in Cape May County. Before you head home to have a BBQ or head out to see the fireworks, break out your chairs, sunscreen, and beach toys to spend the day at the beach.

Have a BBQ with Your Family
Head to the grocery store and pick up all your BBQ classic foods for a wonderful, patriotic shindig. Grill up some hot dogs and hamburgers for your family, play some cornhole, and have fun with your family.

Participate in Cape May’s Olde Fashioned Fourth of July
The City of Cape May is hosting an Olde Fashioned Fourth of July because the holiday looks a little different this year. They have set up virtual events, including a patriotic pet contest and a red, white, and blue virtual bike parade, and in-person events, including live music in Rotary Park and a Star-Spangled Sand Sculpture Contest. For more information and a list of events, visit the City of Cape May Facebook @CapeMayCity.

Celebrate with Sparklers
Lighting sparklers is a summertime staple, especially on the Fourth of July. Celebrate safely and make sure to take pictures of your sparkler fun!

Watch the Fireworks
While there aren’t as many firework shows this year, a few are still happening! Check out more information about fireworks on DoTheShore.com.
