“Barefoot In The Park” by Neil Simon is the story of newlyweds in their first apartment in a fifth floor walk-up in Manhattan with colorful neighbors and winded delivery men and relatives. He is a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit looking for the latest kick. She wants him to be more spontaneous and “running barefoot in the park” would be a start. Waves and Wheels Festival is a new family-friendly event that will be held along Olde New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood on Friday, September 9 from 3-9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 10 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. The festival is dedicated to all outdoor activities at the Jersey Shore – on the ocean, in the sand and over the land! Food trucks, refreshments, Reggae and modern surf rock bands will be featured all weekend long. Vendors from dozens of surf and skate shops in the area will offer discounted merchandise, as well as vendors featuring activities such as surfing, skateboarding, SUP, kayaking, fishing, biking, running and boating. The 3rd Annual Sea Isle City Food Truck Festival

The 3rd Annual Sea Isle City Food Truck Festival lineup features a mix of returning trucks and exciting new additions. The returning lineup includes Shore Shake, Kix Lincoln Grill, Zinna’s Bistro, Five Sisters, Eat-A-Pita, Waffle De Lys, Marie’s Seafood, Chick-N-Cone, Luigi’s Ice Cream, Nick’s Roast Beef, Philly Fry and Sum Pig. New trucks for this year include House of Cupcakes, My Four Sons and Empanada Sonata. The voting for best food truck will include local media critics and the people’s vote. The winners from those categories will all be in the running for the Best Overall Food Truck Award. The event will include live music throughout the weekend, crafters, family entertainment and more. Volunteers In Medicine of Cape May County 10th Annual Gala

Volunteers In Medicine of Cape May County (VIM) will host its 10th Annual Gala to honor and celebrate those in the community who have helped make the 15-year old clinic a reality. The evening will begin with cocktails and hors d’oevres on the club’s open-air porch, followed by an elegant dinner and program. The Masterworks Choir & Orchestra Present Mozart’s “Requiem”

The Masterworks Choir and Orchestra of Ocean City will perform the Mozart “Requiem” at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in Ocean City on Sunday, September 11. The deeply emotional and complex “Requiem” is one of the most famous choral works in the classical repertoire. The performance will take place on the 15th anniversary of “9/11/01.” It will honor the memory of those who perished on that day, and will honor as well our first responders who put their lives in jeopardy every day. John Gregory Bate is Musical Director and Conductor for the choir and orchestra. Featured soloists will be Nancy Fox, soprano, Florence Moyer, alto, Ben Perkins, tenor and Robert Snodgrass, baritone A freewill offering will be collected. The church is handicapped accessible.
