Explore the Shore

Discover the secrets of Cape May Harbor as we explore the shore and marsh. Join our naturalists as we hike the beach, pull a seine net (weather permitting), and encounter an incredible diversity of marine life. We’ll learn about the fascinating lives of the animals that inhabit our coastal and wetland habitats; including the fascinating and ancient Horseshoe Crab. Have an up-close experience with horseshoe crabs, sea stars, and other local marine critters in our laboratory and learn why these animals are so important. Walk-ins welcome. No preregistration necessary.
Gotta B Wildwoods Music Festival

Where: Fox Park, Ocean Avenue between Burk and Montgomery Avenues, Wildwood
The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce presents the ‘Gotta B Wildwoods’ Music Festival – a new event this year featuring continuous FREE live entertainment and other family-friendly festivities. The entertainment line-up will feature the Who Knows Band, Chameleon, Tidal Wave Band and Animal House. There will also be food vendors, craft vendors, a Kid’s Corner and more. At 8 p.m., head to the beach at Burk Avenue via the Wildwoods Convention Center boardwalk extension to enjoy a beach bonfire and listen to live acoustic music from 8 – 10 p.m. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. for the bonfire and tickets are $10 for adults, $2 for children ages 10 – 18, and free for children under 10.
Cape May Music Festival – Jazz at the Estate

Bring your beach chair or blanket on Saturday, May 30 from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for Jazz at the Estate, an open air event on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., featuring five sets of exciting live music all afternoon, plus food, beer, wine, spirits, crafts vendors and more. General admission for adults is $25 in advance, $35 day of show.
Barks on the Boards

Where: Civic Center Field, 6th and Boardwalk, Ocean City
The Humane Society of Ocean City (HSOC) will hold its annual “Barks on the Boards” event on Sunday, May 31, 2015 starting 10:00 a.m. at the Civic Center field, located at 6th and Boardwalk. Registration and dog games run from 10:00 a.m. until noon with the walk starting at 12:00 p.m. Contests feature best dressed, largest dog, smallest dog, most talented, best tail wager, best puppy and highest fundraiser. Contest prizes will be awarded at 1:00 p.m. Pre-registration is $25.00 per person until May 25th (dogs walk for free and must be leashed at all times), and registration at the event is $30.00 per person.

Jimmy’s Smokin’ Pig Roast

Come watch grill Master Jimmy Burton in action at The Rusty Nail as he roasts a whole Berkshire pig from Cape Resorts’ very own Beach Plum Farm. Piggy Platters and Porkwiches are palate pleasers for all ages. Starts at 4pm on Monday nights- this is a popular event, so get there early.
