The United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs will hold the Regional Gymnastics Championships, featuring talented athletes competing on the floor, balance beam, uneven bars and vault. An exhibition will be held Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Competitions for events will be held on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children. Ocean Galleries kicks off Memorial Day weekend with guest artist, Josef Kote, who returns for a second year with an all new collection. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Josef Kote at gallery receptions taking place from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. His exhibition, “Josef Kote – Harmony in White,” opens on Friday and runs through Monday. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday. Unlocking of the Ocean Ceremony

It’s time to get your feet sandy! Come join us to officially start the summer season at 12 noon on the Andrews Avenue beach next to the Wildwoods Convention Center. A large, ornate key will be used to ‘unlock’ the ocean, along with tourism and city officials, guest speakers and more than 300 elementary school children will fly their kites in the air. Wildwoods International Kite Festival

The Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
The Wildwoods International Kite Festival will take place on the beach at Rio Grande Avenue and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. The event begins on Friday at noon with the Unlocking of the Ocean media event outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities following include opening of the kite sales tent, a Friday night social via the local kite club and the 9 p.m. illuminated kite fly. Saturday includes the silent and loud auctions (open to all) and Saturday and Sunday include the flying of large inflatable kites, sport kite demo’s, team flying as well as family games. Boardwalk Craft Show

Run to Remember (for our Veterans of War)

All proceeds from this 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Walk will be to help our veterans of war. Please come and support our veterans. If you can’t attend and wish to donate, you can at nwwvetrun.com.
