It’s Labor Day weekend and we have tons of events for you to check out. On August 30th come see the 17th Annual Airfest all day long. The event will take place at the NASW Aviation Museum in Cape May. The Collings Foundation flies in with WWII bombers, including: B-24 Liberator, B-17 Flying Fortress, and P-51Mustang. For flight reservations, call 800-568-8924 or visit the Collings Foundation website. Vendors and exhibitors fill the Hangar, and guests can enjoy music, food, and much more. NASW’s 26 historic aircraft and other fascinating exhibits are also available to view. To finish your day, do not forget about the amazing Labor Day Weekend Fireworks beginning at 10 pm on the beach in Wildwood. Bring your friends and family to the beach at Pine Avenue, Wildwood. It’s a Super Special Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Extravaganza to end the summer season. Visible from almost anywhere in the Wildwoods!
Stop by the West Cape May Jersey Tomato Festival held on August 31st at 9 am. The event will be held at Wilbraham Park in West Cape May. Enjoy the Jersey fresh grown tomatoes, Tomato jewelry, tomato soups, tomato tacos and all things tomato, fine vendors, South Jersey Artists, handmade jewelry, and stained glass. On August 31st, the Handcraft Unlimited Labor Day Craft Show kicks off at 9 am at the Wildwoods Convention Center. If you cannot make it on August 31st, you still have another chance to check it out September 1st beginning at 10 am. Admission is just $3. There will be quality crafters and merchandise of all kinds. There is truly something for everyone! Children under 12 enter free. Get your hand stamped at the show for free re-admission all weekend! All major credit cards are accepted at every booth.
Make sure to stop by the 25th Annual Whitesboro Reunion Festival Silver Anniversary beginning August 30th at 8pm and ending September 1st at 6pm. The event will be held on the grounds of the Middle Township Recreation Center (also known as the MLK Center) at 207 N Main Street, Whitesboro. A host of speakers and entertainers, exhibits, food, fun and games galore will round out this wonderful Labor Day Weekend celebration.
Sing and dance along with Purple Reign as they perform live on August 31st at 7:30 pm at Centennial Park in Wildwood. They are a long-running 10-piece party band with full rhythm and horn sections performing everything from Sinatra to Lady Gaga as well as Motown, disco and 80s and 90s dance music. This is a free all-ages show! Bring a blanket or a chair. If you are staying in Sea Isle City, you can enjoy the Free Concert under the Stars featuring The Rockets. The show is on August 31st beginning at 8 pm at Excursion Park.
Get your motors running and come out to the Wildwoods Boardwalk on September 1st to check out the All American Car and Truck Show. The admission is free so come enjoy the show with your friends and family. Awards will be presented. Don’t miss out on the Wildwood Block Party and Music Festival on September 1st beginning at noon. The event is free and will take place at Fox Park in Wildwood. Have fun at this family festival full of crafts, games, rides, great food and continuous live entertainment.
On September 1st, participate in the lively music and dancing as the Cape Harmonaires Barbershop Chorus performs at the Rotary Bandstand in Cape May. The show will begin at 8 pm. Admission is free and the show is for all ages. Bring your own beach chair or relax on one of the comfortable park benches.
