Cape May County 4-H Fair
Thursday, July 16th to Saturday, July 18th at 12 p.m.
Where: 4-H Fairgrounds, 355 Court House South Dennis Rd, Cape May Court House
The annual 4-H Fair runs July 16, 17 and 18 at the 4-H Fairgrounds located at 355 Court House – South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House. Public hours for the fair are noon to 9 p.m. Thurs. and Fri. and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sat. Admission is free and there is a host of fun events Thursday through Sunday. The Cape May County 4-H Fair has a number of activities that appeal to all ages. Some of the great new events at the annual event coming up July 16, 17 and 18 have been created especially with young children in mind.

Thursdays on Dune
Thursday, July 16th at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Dune Drive, Avalon
Make plans to spend Thursday nights in Avalon this summer as the popular Thursdays on Dune returns for a second year of family fun. Hosted by the Avalon Chamber of Commerce, 7 Mile Business Community Association and the Borough of Avalon, the event features activities for kids from 5:30-7 p.m. before a concert from 7-8:30 p.m. Vacationers and residents alike are invited to take a stroll through the heart of Avalon every Thursday from July 2 to Aug. 20 to enjoy live music, activities and giveaways for the entire family – all for free.

Thursdays on the Lawn Summer Concert Series
Thursday, July 16th at 7:30 p.m.
Where: St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 3rd Avenue & 95th Street, Stone Harbor
All are welcome to enjoy free musical entertainment by local musicians. Set aside Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 PM beginning July 9th through August 13th. Bring a chair or blanket, bring a friend to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at 95th & Third Ave in Stone Harbor. Presentations are held outside on the front lawn. Provisions have been made for inclement weather in the Parish Hall.

Crabulous Crab Day

Flow Tour Competition
Friday, July 17th at 5 p.m.
Where: FlowHouse Bar & Grill, Cedar Avenue and Boardwalk, Wildwood

The FLOW Tour is flowboarding’s premier competitive tour featuring some of the world’s best riders. Whether you are participating in the competition or kicking back to watch the show, this high-octane event is not to be missed.

Race Judicata 5k Run/1k Walk
Friday, July 17th at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Beach at JFK Blvd., Sea Isle City
The Cape May County Bar Foundation is holding its 17th Annual 5K Beach Run/1K Walk on Friday, July 17, 2015 on the Beach in Sea Isle City. In-person registration begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Pavilion at JFK Blvd. and the beach. The race will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be prizes for the top finishers in each category. Fee-$25. Proceeds of this event benefit the Cape May County Bar Foundation Scholarship Fund which awards two scholarships a year to Cape May County High School students going on to college. Sea Isle City’s Got Talent

4-H Color Fun Run

The Communateens 4-H Club wanted to bring a new event to the annual 4-H Fair that would promote healthy living, one of the teen group’s main missions. This brand new 5K / 1 mile fun walk/run does just that. The Color Fun Run is an un-timed race in which, runners/walkers are doused from head to toe in different, washable colors at various points along the race. With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow:
1. Wear white at the at 8:30 a.m. starting line to get the most color splatter.
2. Finish plastered in color with a smile on your face!

Boogie Board Races

11th Annual Celtic Festival

Celebrate all things Irish and Scottish at Historic Cold Spring Village’s 11th Annual Celtic Festival the weekend of July 18-19 from 10am-4:30pm. The Village’s restored, historic buildings will also be open, with historical interpreters demonstrating the trades and crafts of the 1800s. Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series

The Borough of Wildwood Crest has planned its largest Summer Music Series schedule to date.
A total of 29 evenings of live musical entertainment for the entire family are on tap in the eighth annual Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series, which is set to begin next week. Live music will be held at 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday and Saturday from June 24 through Sept. 5 at the entertainment pavilion at Centennial Park, located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.

The adventurous Captain Kidd has set sail for Historic Cape May in hopes of arriving on Sunday, July 19, 2015 for the 52nd Annual Cape May Captain Kidd Treasure Hunt to be held on the beaches of the nation’s oldest seashore resort. Youngsters are invited to rendezvous with Captain Will Kidd on the Cape May Promenade, at Cape May Convention Hall, on July 19 at 1 p.m. Lucky treasure seekers will follow Captain Kidd to the secret site between Perry and Congress Street beaches in search of the elusive buried treasure.
