Sunset Beach New Year’s Day Clean-up
Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 10:30 a.m.
Sunset Beach, 502 Sunset Blvd., Cape May Point

Start off the year by giving back at the New Year’s Day Sunset Beach Clean-up at Cape May Point. The clean-up will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Volunteers can meet at the end of Sunset Blvd at Delaware Bay. Volunteer sign-in will be at the flagpole. Cape May Point State Park will provide trash bags and gloves for volunteers. Sunset Beach Gifts will provide coffee and help with trash collection. The rain date will be Saturday, Jan. 4. Ocean City First Day 5K Run

Start your year off on the right foot and participate in the Ocean City First Day 5K Walk and Run on New Year’s Day! Day of registration will take place at Music Pier on the Ocean City Boardwalk between 8th and 9th Street between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The race will start at 1 p.m. and awards will be presented at approximately 2 p.m. at Music Pier. First Day at the Beach – Polar Plunge

Ocean City’s first dip in the ocean will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1. Participants should register in the Music Pier before heading to the beach to participate in Ocean City’s First Day at the Beach Polar Plunge. Roller Skating at Convention Hall

Get ready to roll at Cape May Convention Hall with winter roller skating! Guests may bring their own standard or in-line skates or they can rent them from our facility. The admission fee for Open Skate is $5 per person. Skate rental is $2 for traditional skates and $4 for in-line skates. Admission for non-skaters during Open Skate is $2.
