Wildwood Crest Sand Sculpting Festival  

Friday, July 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

Heather Road in Wildwood Crest 

This amateur and semi-pro sand sculpting contest is hosted by professional world-renowned sand sculptor Matt Long, a former cast member of the Travel Channel’s SandMasters, and “Can You Dig It!” Sand Tools. 2022 marks the 10th year for this fun festival. FREE to all participants and spectators. Fun activities featured at this year’s festival include a magic variety show at 10:30 a.m., live music at 11:00 a.m. by the Mike Shackleton Band, and beach games. Sculptures will be judged on creativity, execution, composition and overall presentation, and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each division. Rain or shine! 

Maryanne Pastry’s Cornhole for Cancer

This round robin style cornhole tournament for a cause is being held in memory of Peter R. Bossow, who was an SIC lifeguard. The tournament is free to spectators but registration is required! This event is being held by Maryanne Pastry Shoppe in support of the families that For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation has helped over the years.

The property owners association of Cape May Beach announces once again the popular summer festival, ‘Whale of a Day,’ held rain or shine. This very special multi-block family day features over 120 vendor-dealers, including many types of food and refreshments, antiques, arts and crafts, live music from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the covered deck, a history display and bake sale (get there early!) inside the clubhouse, the famous 60+ assorted basket raffles, and more. Wildwood beaches 

The Summer Wildwood event Jeep Invasion is the largest gathering of Jeeps in the Northeast with 2500 Jeeps in attendance, and over 100 of the industry’s top vendors. The entire event takes place on the beach. All Jeeps, and vendors are parked on the beach for this three-day event.  

There is even a beach obstacle course run by Rausch Creek Off Road Park. The event is family-friendly! All Jeeps must be pre-registered to park on the beach, there is no day of registration. Spectator admission is FREE.
