Local Jazz Duet Eddie Morgan & Daryl Robinson – FREE Concert

Local jazz duet Eddie Morgan and Daryl Robinson will perform a free concert at the Ocean City Arts Center from 7 to 8 p.m. The concert will feature jazz classics from the past several decades. Morgan, an Atlantic City native, will play trumpet and provide vocals. He is a music teacher in Pleasantville and founder of “JAZZ 4 KIDZ & U,” a summer enrichment music camp for students. Robinson will play keyboards. He has performed with such legends as Wynton Marsalis and Dave Brubeck. In addition, Robinson has taught music for the past 35 years.

Cape May roller skating continues now through March 31 at Cape May Convention Hall. Open roller skating is offered on Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. and a Teen Skate from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Two sessions of open skating are offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. Toddler Skating is held every Friday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Guests may bring their own standard or in-line skates, or they are available to rent at Cape May Convention Hall. Explore the Golden Age of the American film industry via this sight and sound presentation of the classic studios, stars and films of the era. Hollywood became the movie capital of the world as dream factories cranked out films and turned actors into stars. Included will be a short history of film industry and the major and minor studios of the era. Clips from classic films will highlight stars such as Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart and John Wayne. Jim Doran and the popular Bittersweet Duo will join with a classical trio and performers from Atlantic City who are all donating their talents to perform at the Cape Aid Benefit Concert for the homeless of Cape May County. Donations only, no tickets are required to attend. The concert will benefit The Branches Outreach Center of Rio Grande. A Voice For the Homeless is presenting the concert together with Cape Aid.
