Anglesea Night Market and Food Truck Fest

North Wildwood Entertainment District

The event runs from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., will feature award-winning food trucks, gourmet food vendors, high end crafters, live music, art and all of the excitement of the North Wildwood Entertainment District! 

Jaws on the Cape May Beach

Gurney Street Beach, Cape May next to Convention Hall 

Get into the shore spirit by watching Jaws next to the ocean on Gurney Street Beach! Bring a blanket or beach chair to have somewhere comfy to sit! The showing will begin at dusk. 

119th Ocean City Baby Parade 

Thursday, August 11 at 10:30 a.m.  

6th Street to 12th Street on the Boardwalk 

Registration is now open! As part of a tradition that dates back to 1929, the city crowns a teen “Queen Infanta” to preside over the Baby Parade. Registration is now open to anybody who would like to compete for this crown.

Miss Ocean City Pageant  

Saturday, August 13th from 7 to 10 p.m.  

Music Pier  

Miss Ocean City Pageant 7 p.m. at the Music Pier. Miss Ocean City 2022 Maddyn Randazzo will be on hand as contestants compete in interview, talent, swimsuit, evening gown and onstage question. Contestants must be between the ages of 16 and 22. 

Peach Festival

Free Bay Atlantic Symphony Concert: The Birds and the Bees

From wasps to birds, this annual concert literally soars! Led by Music Director Jed Gaylin, the Bay Atlantic Symphony is excited to return for a performance featuring Stravinsky, Respighi, George Avila and more. Tickets are not required.

Miss Crustacean Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant 

Wednesday, August 17 from 6 to 6:30 p.m. 

6th St. Beach, Ocean City  

The original beauty contest for crustaceans. Families, Kids, Businesses and Organizations are invited to enter their crustacean in this annual contest. 

The winner receives the Coveted Cucumber Rind Cup and gets to walk down a flowery runway. Registration is free and starts at 5:30 p.m. at the 6th St. Beach. Contest begins at 6 p.m. Open to all ages.

Beachside Science Lecture: Sea Creatures with Amazing Features 

Wednesday, August 17th at 6 p.m.  

Surfside Park 

Though large marine mammals get all of the attention, there are thousands of amazing animals of all sizes in our ocean. The Wetlands Institute will discuss some of the many sea creatures that can be found locally- from friendly crabs to slimy fish and everything in between!  

This event is a collaboration between the Avalon Environmental Commission and the Avalon Free Public Library.
