Cape May Lighthouse Family Fun Day

The 1859 Cape May Lighthouse, located in Cape May Point State Park, becomes a beacon for family fun this summer during Family Fun Days. Kids will enjoy hands-on activities like pirate hat-making, along with performers and kid-friendly entertainment, and adults will enjoy browsing among the crafts vendors, all at the base of the lighthouse. Family Fun Days are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 22. Admission is free to activities on the grounds and there is a separate admission to climb the lighthouse: $8 for adults and $5 for children (ages 3-12). Ahoy, matey! Historic Cold Spring Village invites you to celebrate the maritime culture and history of the Jersey Cape at Seafarers’ Weekend. The event will feature pirates, music and family fun. The Village buildings will also be open, featuring historically clothed interpreters in who demonstrate the trades, crafts and lifestyles of Early America. Valhalla’s Pirates will join the event, bringing thrilling fight scenes both days. Captain Black and his crew will also meet with guests throughout the day to take pictures and tell tales of the sea.
