Holiday Celebration

Where: Cape May Court House Library 30 W. Mechanic St., Cape May Court House
The public is invited to attend the Annual Holiday Celebration at the Cape May Court House Library on Friday, December 5th, the night of Christmas in Court House. The Library is located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.
Tree Lighting and Holiday Concert
Friday, December 5 from 5-10 PM
Where: Congress Hall 200 Congress Place, Cape May
One of Cape May’s most time honored holiday traditions- Congress Hall’s Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Concert. Join us as we light up the night with the largest Christmas tree in Cape May! The Congress Hall Festival Choir will be setting the stage with the most beautiful sounds of the season. Sip on hot cocoa and hop on the Congress Hall Express, or shop in our vendor village as we count down to the exciting moment when the tree lights up the night.
Help spread the holiday cheer! Cape May Food Closet as well as Toys for Tots will be at the tree lighting and concert once again this year. Please bring canned goods and unwrapped toys to benefit both organizations!
Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Christmas Tree Lighting
Friday, December 5 from 5:30-7:30 PM
Where: Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Courtyard 1st and Central Ave., North Wildwood
Christmas tree lighting includes school and church choirs, Santa Claus and refreshments.
8th Annual Day of Hospitality
Friday, December 5 from 2-7 PM
Where: Lower Township Recreation Center 2600 Bayshore Road, Villas
Visit the businesses between 2-7 PM. Report to Town Hall to get a map and the 1st 200 receive totes bags. Collect a ticket from participating businesses and Town Hall then report to the Lower Township Recreation Center. Your ticket will be placed in the drawings that begin at 8:15 PM. The more businesses you visit the better your chances to win.
Dennis Township PTA Holiday Bazaar
Saturday, December 6 from 8-2 PM
Where: Dennis Township Primary School 601 Hagen Road, Cape May Court House
Come out and support your Dennis Township PTA as well as local crafters and small businesses. Kids craft room with Maverick Art Studio.
2nd Annual Holiday Sip and Shop
Saturday, December 6 and Sunday December, 7 from 11-4 PM
Where: Willow Creek Winery 168 Stevens St., West Cape May
Sip and sample our delicious wines & sangrias while SHOPPING awesome Cape May County small business owners great gift ideas, including LOCAL artists, jewelers and handmade gifts, while supporting the local Cape May County food banks. Please bring a non-perishable food item.
Wassail Day
Saturday, December 6 from 11-3 PM
Where: Historic Cold Spring Village 720 U.S. 9, Cape May
The Village paths come alive with the sounds and smells of wintertime at this free family event. Select buildings will be open where guests can enjoy hands-on crafts, children’s storytelling, and hot beverages and holiday treats served by historical interpreters in period clothing. Visitors can meet Father Christmas in the Country Store from 12-2 p.m. and enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride throughout the festively decorated Village grounds for a small donation. Guests can also enjoy live holiday music in the Welcome Center. The Cold Spring Grange Restaurant will serve lunch from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
North Country Knits Holiday Craft Show
Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7 from 10-4 PM
Where: 551 Hands Mill Road, Belleplain
The 22 Annual Craft Show at the sheep farm on Hands Mill Road will be held on December 6 and 7. The shop will be full of sweaters, scarves, hats, sheepskin slippers, yarn and lots of gifts for the holiday. The craft show will happen rain or shine.
John Walter Cape Community Band Concert
Sunday, December 7 from 7-9 PM
Where: Middle Township Performing Arts Center 212 Bayberry Drive, Cape May Court House
The program will feature a variety of selections ranging from classic carols to jazz arrangements to music for Chanukah and the New Year. Even the audience will get into the act with a big sing-along.
Angelus Chorus Concert
Monday, December 8 from 7:15-9 PM
Where: Cape May United Methodist Church 635 Washington St., Cape May
Celebrating our 50th Anniversary of singing in Cape May County, Angelus Chorus was started as a group of volunteers who wanted to sing Christmas Carols to residents in nursing homes…to this day they still are singing Christmas music in Nursing facilities. For their performances this year they would love to see the biggest crowds ever as they are presenting their special Christmas music for the celebration. Their music consists of both sacred and secular music. Concerts are free and open to the public at most events. They do take a free-will offering at the end of the performance.
