Boardwalk Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show
Wednesday, January 29th – February 2nd from 8 am to 5 pm
Where: Wildwoods Convention Center – 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
Attention all dog lovers! Four-legged friends of all shapes and sizes will return to the Wildwoods Convention Center for the annual All Breed Dog Show. The Atlantic Ocean Classic Dog Show Cluster, hosted by the Boardwalk Kennel Club, will feature five days of competitions starting Jan. 29 through Feb. 2. Multiple judges will determine the winner of each category and various prizes will be awarded. This is the first show of the season and winners will then move on to the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City. So come out and see the best of the best of all dog breeds! Chili Cookoff
Friday, January 31st from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Where: Tabernacle United Methodist Church – 702 Seashore Rd, Erma

Free Decoy Carving Demonstration
Saturday, February 1st from 10 to 11:30 am
Where: Two Mile Beach Unit of Cape May NWR -12001 Pacific Ave (Ocean Dr.), Wildwood Crest
Join the Friends of Cape May National Wildlife Refuge at the Two Mile Beach Unit in Wildwood Crest on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 10am, for a fascinating and educational demonstration of Decoy Carving in the South Jersey Fashion.

The demonstration will be led by local master decoy carver, J.P. “Jamie” Hand. Mr. Hand will be accompanied by one of his young apprentices, Cooper Rossner, who is a Biological Technician through the Pathways Program at our very own Cape May NWR. 4th Annual Super Chili & Chowder Challenge

Groundhog’s Day
Sunday, February 2nd from 1 to 2:30 pm
Where: Cape May Point State Park – 305 Lighthouse Ave, Cape May Point
In celebration of Groundhog’s Day, there will be a puppet show, “The Naughty Little Groundhog”, featuring family fun and lots of audience participation! There will also be a groundhog craft to complete and refreshments. Join us for a rousing, good, furry time!

11th Annual Super Bash Party
Sunday, February 2nd from 4 to 8 pm
Where: Princeton Bar & Grill – 2008 Dune Dr, Avalon
On Sunday, February 2, 2014, Friend In Need will host its 11th Annual Super Bash Party at the Princeton Bar in Avalon, NJ. Doors will open at 4 pm., and tickets are currently on sale for $25, or $30 at the door. Super Bash XI will feature food and beverages for all attendees as well as a Silent Auction, door prizes, and big screened televisions to watch the big game. Featured Silent Auction items include a signed Paul McCartney guitar with a certificate of authenticity, icerow Flyers tickets, courtside 76ers tickets, plus a variety of items from local businesses donated in support of the event.

8th Annual Polar Bear Plunge
Monday, February 3rd from 9:45 to 10:30 am
Where: Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center – 12 Moore Rd, Cape May Court House
Cape May County Freeholder Kristine Gabor is pleased to announce that Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will host their eighth annual Polar Bear Plunge for residents Feb. 3, 2014 starting at 9:45 am in the Recreation Room. The event, coordinated by the Recreation Department, will include a very large kiddy-pool filled with ice water for the residents to “plunge” their feet and cool off their tootsies – plus zumba fitness and music by Christine.
