AVALON — The 10th annual Shop-A-Holics weekend will be held March 2-4 at the Princeton and the Whitebrier. The festivities kick off on March 2 with the Thursday night preview party from 4 to 9 p.m., and continue on Friday night from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Hosted by the 7 Mile Business Community Association (7MBCA), the event features a variety of Seven Mile Beach stores and boutiques including Tiger Lily, Hassis Men’s Shop, the Preppy Palm, Global Pursuit, Armadillo, Ltd. and more.
Whether you are looking for a new pair of shoes, clothes, jewelry, home décor or a bite to eat, the weekend has something for everyone. You might even find something you didn’t know you needed. Avalonia Jewelry will show off its unique collection and shoppers will be able to browse the latest in fashion from Coco Blue, Annabelle, Gingy’s, Bellanova and Closet Boutique. Coffee Talk will be serving coffee and pastries and Country Greenery will showcase its floral displays. Don’t forget to grab a beverage as you sip and shop among 30 participating vendors.
“This event is a perfect opportunity to escape to the beach for a weekend,” says Kathy Wierzbicki, event coordinator. “In addition to major discounts on quality merchandise, guests can enjoy delicious food and drinks, and watch some exciting basketball. This event is not to be missed and supports the local charity Play with Jack Foundation.”
Throughout the weekend, monetary donations will be accepted for this year’s beneficiary, Play With Jack Foundation. The organization raises funds and awareness in an effort to fight cancer in memory of Jack Cremin.
Keep those winter blues at bay with a little retail therapy during Shop-A-Holics weekend. The Princeton Bar & Grill is located at 2008 Dune Dr. and The Whitebrier is located at 260 20th St.
The event is supported in part by a grant from the NJ Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism. For more information, go to www.visitavalonnj.com.
