Will Kick Off Cape May’s 2016 Summer Concert Series
CAPE MAY – Edgy. Classic. Country. A defining voice of country music and a modern-day legend, Tanya Tucker is set to perform on Saturday, May 28, 8 p.m. at Cape May Convention Hall. Tucker’s performance officially kicks off the City’s 2016 Summer Concert Series, featuring an array of chart-topping performers from genres including country, rock, blues, disco, R&B and more.
Since recording her debut single, “Delta Dawn” at the age of 13, Tucker has moved forward in a shining career in country music gaining multiple honors and awards including a Grammy nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, and the 1972 Top New Female Vocalist award from the Academy of Country Music. Tucker’s latest honor is a special exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum titled, “Tanya Tucker: Strong Enough to Bend.”
Concert attendees will enjoy a lively performance of Tucker’s top hits including “Delta Dawn,” “What’s Your Mama’s Name,” “Can I See You Tonight,” “One Love at a Time,” “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane” and much more.
