Chill at Ice House Bar & Restaurant

Entering its fifth season, Ice House Bar and Restaurant invites Cape May County patrons to “sizzle and chill” while enjoying an array of fine dining dishes and cool cocktails. Owners and operators Chuck and Jeanette Burns have successfully combined the best of both dining worlds with their 120-plus seat downstairs fine dining area and their casual, spacious roof deck.

The Ice House remains focused on providing guests with outstanding service and a quality dining experience. The friendly staff and varied menus truly have something to offer for family members of all ages and tastes. And this summer season, they have totally ramped up their already extensive daily specials. The upstairs deck, overlooking scenic and historic Otten’s Harbor, features its very own Daily Deck Specials offering great deals on Ice House appetizer favorites.

“Crabby Mondays” feature half-price mussels and clams, a $6 famous crab cake sandwich, “Seashore Fries”, and beer specials. On a “Two Buck Chuck Tuesday”, all bottled and draft beers, mixed drinks, and popular starters such as bacon-wrapped scallops cost just $2. Be sure to sample the pork sliders, the deck’s latest “Two Buck” menu addition. On “Fins” Day Wednesday, “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere”. Enjoy Jimmy Buffett music all day with half priced select appetizers or a $5 Margarita. The competition heats up on the Harbor-View Deck each Thursday at Quizzo with Ruthie. The trivia kicks off at 8 pm. Winners are awarded weekly prizes, while the ultimate champion will be awarded at grand prize at the end of the season.

Downstairs, Ice House offers six varieties of house wine by the glass plus an extensive wine list including white, blush, red, and sparkling wines. A few of The Ice House Dining Room’s unique starter options include Tuna Sashimi, “Ice House Made” Cajun Shrimp Spring Rolls, and Scallops Ceviche. Be sure to save room for an Ice House entrée specialty such as the Citrus Marinated Swordfish or Veal Wildwood. Voted 2nd in 2012’s Search for New Jersey’s Best Crab Cake, the Ice House is confident that they feature the best crab cake in south Jersey. Every night from 5 to 6 p.m., the downstairs dining area features its three-course Early Bird Special. On a Wine Wednesday, select bottles of Ice House’s large wine collection are sold for only $15.

Ice House’s downstairs bar has debuted its very own brand new menu this summer season. Served exclusively at Ice House’s indoor granite bar, this menu features a Crab Cake, Shrimp Cocktail, and Tuna Sashimi starters. The Seafood Caesar has been the menu’s biggest hit, featuring grilled shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, and fresh locally caught fish of the day served over Ice House’s delicious Caesar salad. But the true talk of the town revolves around the bar’s ever-changing Flatbreads of the Day and Chef’s Choice Burgers. One massively popular recent daily flatbread was topped with fresh asparagus, crab meat, roasted red peppers, and shredded parmesan, but each day promises an exciting new offering. Former Chef’s Choice Burgers include the Italiano and the Chicken Cordon Bleu burgers, designed and crafted by the Ice House’s renowned head chef. The dining room’s refined downstairs bar is also now home to Martini Mondays and Fridays. Any flavor Absolut Martini costs just $6 on the work week’s first and final days.

Join Ice House for their July 20th outdoor NJ State Crab Festival. Beginning at 11 a.m., filling the streets of Park Boulevard and Davis Avenue, the Crab Fest showcases several seafood delights under a big top tent and atop the Ice House Harbor-view Deck. Feast on endless blue claw crab and sample Ice House’s must-try Crabby Bloody Mary. This all-day-long festival will feature “everything crab” along with a fantastic beer garden pouring several craft brews. Outside vendors include face painting for kids and a balloon designer.
