This holiday season, the Reeds at Shelter Haven will host an exciting series of festive events. The resort will bring holiday cheer to Stone Harbor, often in coordination with town-wide festivals and other celebrations.
Guests are invited to enjoy the cozy glow of the Reeds’ Christmas tree along with live music at the Reeds’ Firepit Fridays on Fridays, Dec. 4 and 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. Cuddle up fireside with blankets on one of our bayside couches while enjoying food and cocktail specials from the Water Star Grille including hot toddies and spiked cider.
The Reeds will host its annual Santa’s Workshop Brunch for kids and families. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 13, families are invited to visit the “North Pole.” This child-friendly event includes holiday crafts and gift-making, with the Reeds’ own “elves” on hand to help. Reservations are suggested and are required for parties of six or more. Brunch is $30 per person and just $20 for kids 12 and under, including all Workshop-made gifts to take home and keep or give. Families are encouraged to stay and make it a long weekend, with the annual Stone Harbor Christmas Tree Lighting scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 8 beginning with caroling at 4:45 p.m.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the Reeds will serve a tempting Holiday Dinner at SAX restaurant. SAX will offer both an a la carte menu and a special $40 three-course prix fixe from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25.
On New Year’s Eve, SAX Lounge will host a lively party, while SAX restaurant will serve a decadent multi-course meal. From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., SAX will offer a $90 per person, four-course prix fixe menu of appropriately festive fare to ring in the new year in style. Beginning at 8 p.m., revelers can head to SAX lounge for live music, food specials, $5 champagne all night long and festive décor, with no cover charge to welcome 2016 among friends.
Throughout December and January, the Reeds is available for Holiday Parties of all sizes. The resort can accommodate groups as intimate as 15 or as expansive as 200. Tempting party menus begin at just $25 per person, and there are a variety of exciting, holiday-inspired event spaces available across the property. Discounted hotel rates are also available to encourage guests to spend the night
During the holiday season, rates start as low as $129 per night, making the Reeds a perfect getaway – whether for one of the festive events, or just to escape for an evening of rest and relaxation amid all of the hustle and bustle of the season.
