Friends of the World War II Tower present “50 Years Later: 1968 and the Vietnam War – Introduction”: The year 1968 was pivotal in both Vietnamese and United States history. Learn about these changes in the introductory lecture to this series. Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. Cape May Lutheran Church, 509 Pittsburgh Ave. Admission is $5 at the door. Feb. 17

Cape May Wine Trail: Spend an afternoon visiting Cape May County’s wineries and sampling the unique flavors of each. Travel via trolley to Willow Creek Winery where you’ll enjoy tastings, a brief tour and lunch. You’ll also travel to Natali Vineyards for tastings there with cheese and crackers and receive a souvenir glass. Admission is $75. Saturday, Feb. 17, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Chocolate Lovers Feast at The Blue Rose Inn: Chocolate lovers unite! You’ll savor seven plated courses of chocolate desserts and hear how each was created from the chef who prepared it at The Blue Rose Inn on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. Admission is $40.

The paranormal findings of ghost writer Craig McManus come alive as your guide translates McManus’ stories. Offered Saturday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. $12 for adults and $8 for children (ages 3-12).

Feb. 17-18

Crafts and Collectibles in Winter: The region’s most sought-after collectibles dealers and craftspeople come together for a two-day show featuring an array of handmade items, jewelry, glassware and more. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18. Cape May Convention Hall, Beach Avenue at Stockton Place. Admission $2.

Physick Estate Self-guided Tour: Spend time exploring the rooms and collections of the Physick House Museum at your own pace, with knowledgeable interpreters and volunteers to answer questions. In some rooms you will meet a member of the Physick family or domestic staff, who will discuss the “hows and whys” of the objects found there. Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $12 adults, $8 for children (ages 3-12).

Cape May Wine School: Increase your knowledge of wines during the Cape May Wine School Sunday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. You’ll refine your palate at the Washington Inn, 801 Washington St. Admission $40. Sherlock Holmes Weekend: New mystery for 2018! Join Sherlock Holmes and his partner, Dr. Watson, for a weekend of solving clues in the new mystery “Sherlock Holmes and The Case of a Siren’s Call” Friday through Sunday, March 16-18. Stalk the gaslit streets in search of clues and compete for the $250 grand prize.

March 16-17

East Lynne Theater presents “Sherlock Holmes Adventure of the Speckled Band”: It’s a race against time for Holmes and Watson to stop murders in a country manor. Performed “radio-style” with live sound effects and commercials. Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 at 8 p.m. First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes St., Cape May. Sherlock Holmes Search for Clues Tour: Travel from inn to inn in Victorian Cape May while you try to solve the new Sherlock Holmes murder mystery for 2018 “Sherlock Holmes and The Case of a Siren’s Call.” 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 17. $15 for adults, $7.50 for children (ages 3-12). Tour begins and tickets are available at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth. Part of Sherlock Holmes Weekend.

Historic Haunts Combo Tour: Combine the Ghosts of Cape May trolley tour with a visit to the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, where you will visit a home séance room of the 1890s and learn of the Victorians’ fascination with spiritualism. Offered Saturday, March 24 at 7 p.m. $22 for adults, $14 for children (ages 3-12).

Historic Haunts House Tours: Get into the spirit of things on a guided tour of the historic (some say haunted) Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., with a discussion of Victorian spiritualism. Offered at Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. Limited tour. $12 for adults, $8 for children (ages 3-12).

World War II Tower Lookout Museum and Memorial: (Fire Control Tower No. 23) A Museum and Memorial. Fire Control Tower No. 23 on Sunset Boulevard is New Jersey’s last freestanding World War II tower, part of the immense Harbor Defense of the Delaware system known as Fort Miles. After the award-winning restoration, visitors can climb to the 6th floor spotting gallery while reliving the homeland defense efforts during World War II. The ground floor of the tower, the All Veterans Memorial and boardwalk interpretive panels are fully accessible. Open Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25 from noon to 3 p.m. $6 for adults, $3 for children (ages 3-12) (one child free with each paying adult).
