Friends of the World War II Tower present “50 Years Later: 1968 and the Vietnam War – Fortification of Hué and the Turning of the War”: The year 1968 was pivotal in both Vietnamese and United States history. Join Sherlock Holmes and his partner, Dr. Watson, for a weekend of solving clues in the new mystery “Sherlock Holmes and The Case of a Siren’s Call” Friday through Sunday, March 16-18. Stalk the gaslit streets in search of clues and compete for the $250 grand prize.

East Lynne Theater presents “Sherlock Holmes Adventure of the Speckled Band”: It’s a race against time for Holmes and Watson to stop murders in a country manor. Performed “radio-style” with live sound effects and commercials. Sherlock Holmes Search for Clues Tour: Travel from inn to inn in Victorian Cape May while you try to solve the new Sherlock Holmes murder mystery for 2018, “Sherlock Holmes and The Case of a Siren’s Call.” 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 17. $15 for adults, $7.50 for children (ages 3-12). Tour begins and tickets are available at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth. Part of Sherlock Holmes Weekend, presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC).
Physick Estate Self-guided Tour: Explore at your own pace during a self-guided tour of the Emlen Physick Estate. Spend time exploring the rooms and collections of the Physick House Museum on your own, with knowledgeable interpreters and volunteers available to answer questions. In some rooms you will meet a member of the Physick family or domestic staff, who will discuss the “hows and whys” of the objects found there. Offered Saturday, March 17, 1 to 3 p.m. $12 for adults, $8 for children (ages 3-12).

Lunch & Learn at Lucky Bones: “An Afternoon with Sinatra”: A sight and sound presentation with Rich Chiemingo of the memorable music of Frank Sinatra by a member of his orchestra based in New York. In addition to highlights of Sinatra’s music, get insights into the man and what it was like to work with him. Saturday, March 24 at noon. Historic Haunts Combo Tours: Combine the Ghosts of Cape May trolley tour with a visit to the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, where you will visit a home séance room of the 1890s and learn of the Victorians’ fascination with spiritualism. Historic Haunts House Tours: Get into the spirit of things on a guided tour of the historic (some say haunted) Physick Estate, with a discussion of Victorian spiritualism. Offered at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 24. Limited tour. $12 for adults, $8 for children (ages 3-12).
Ghosts of Cape May Trolley Tour: Take this spine-tingling, 30-minute evening trolley ride through the streets of Cape May with a guide who relates the paranormal findings of medium Craig McManus. Offered Saturday, March 24 at 8:30 p.m. $12 for adults, $8 for children (ages 3-12). Tours leave from the Washington Street Mall Information Booth at Ocean Street.

World War II Tower Lookout Museum and Memorial (Fire Control Tower No. 23): A Museum and Memorial. Fire Control Tower No. 23 on Sunset Boulevard is New Jersey’s last freestanding World War II tower, part of the immense Harbor Defense of the Delaware system known as Fort Miles. After an award-winning restoration in 2009, visitors can climb to the 6th floor spotting gallery while learning about the homeland defense efforts during World War II. The ground floor of the tower is fully accessible. Reopening for the season, Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, noon to 3 p.m. $6 for adults, $3 for children (ages 3-12). (One child free with paying adult.)
