Cape May’s Beach Plum Farm Ready for Spring Festival

What better way to celebrate spring than with a farm festival that has fun for the whole family? Cape Resorts’ 62-acre Beach Plum Farm is gearing up for its annual Spring Festival featuring a day full of fun, family-friendly activities.

Starting April 18 and taking place each subsequent Saturday through May 2, from 11 am to 5 pm, families, couples and friends can enjoy a day on the farm feasting on roast lamb, and sipping on some great beers from Cape May Brewery or a signature Mason jar sweet tea. Check out the piglets, chickens, honeybees and new ducks and learn about what life is like on the farm. Families can hop on a hayride, go on a scavenger hunt, learn how to plant flowers in a flower pot you paint, and roast delicious s’mores. Each Saturday will present a new hands-on lesson in the “Farm to Kids” program (details below). Then, take some of the farm home with you by visiting the farm stand, which offers fresh produce, eggs, and honey – all from Beach Plum Farm!

Throughout the year, more than 100 varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers are grown and harvested at Beach Plum Farm for the kitchens of Cape Resorts Group restaurants, which include The Ebbitt Room, The Blue Pig Tavern and The Rusty Nail in Cape May. Visitors can stroll through the farm and take in the natural beauty of these gardens along with its livestock, which includes sheep, goats, pigs, and chickens.

Children can attend free educational “Farm to Kids” workshops, where lil’ future farmers will get some hands on learning about the animals and crops at the farm each Saturday at 11 am.
