Cape May Kicks Off Music in the Park – Free Concerts at the Rotary Park Bandstand

America’s Sweethearts – History through Harmony

CAPE MAY – The City of Cape May is excited to roll out “Music in the Park,” free evening outdoor concerts in Cape May. Over 40 concerts will be held in the beautifully renovated Rotary Park located at 400 Lafayette St. in downtown Cape May.

This year’s lineup has something for everyone, including eight new acts. Each concert will offer excellent entertainment in a family-friendly atmosphere. Highlighting our 2017 lineup for Music in the Park is America’s Sweethearts, a throwback to yesteryear with the sounds of the Andrew Sisters, The Mainliners chorus, The Fabulous Silver Wings featuring country/bluegrass, The Jack Melton Big Band, and The Quietmen, an Irish tenor group. The series also features some popular local talent. The Bastard Sons of Captain Mey bring a modern take on American Folk Music, and Blue Bone rocks with strong guitar blues.

Music in the Park runs June 30 through Sept. 16. Concerts are held every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday evening at 7 p.m. Patrons are welcome to bring a beach chair or blanket to comfortably enjoy the entertainment.
