Splash hosts “In Celebration of Sea Glass” on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 3 to 5 p.m.
“Ever since the North American Sea Glass Association held its annual festival in Cape May in 2014, we have been having our own sea glass celebration at Splash. It’s a way for our customers to meet the artists that make our sea glass jewelry and the authors that write about sea glass. This year we are pleased to host local artist, Janet Payne of Janet Payne Jewelry and Meg Carter of Made by Meg. We will also have Cindy Bilbao with her great sea glass books, ‘Sea Glass Treasures from the Tide’ and ‘The Official Sea Glass Searcher’s Guide: How to Find Your Own Treasures from the Tide,’” explains Hilary Pritchard of Splash.
“In Celebration of Sea Glass” is part of Splash’s Meet the Makers Series, which was started to introduce the public to the jewelers and artists behind the work showcased at Splash.
