Saturday August 29 is Brews by the Bay, the only bi-state beer festival in the nation, and Cape May Brewing Company will be pouring.
Beginning at 11:30am at the Cape May terminal of the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, under a warm summer sun, attendees will taste the offerings of at least 17 Jersey microbreweries. There will be live music, savory eats from local food vendors, and lawn games played against a Delaware Bay backdrop.
Then, throughout the early afternoon, the ferry will transport attendees across the bay, where the party continues at 4pm with at least 14 Delaware breweries pouring.
In partnership with the Delaware Brewers Guild, the Garden State Craft Brewers Guild is sponsoring.
Says President Ryan Krill, “This is one of only two events which feature Jersey breweries and, unlike so many other festivals, it brings out owners and head brewers, rather than event reps, so it’s a great opportunity to put a face with each beer.”
A portion of proceeds will go toward the hiring of an executive director for the Garden State Craft Brewers Guild, who will advocate for greater job creation within the industry and help bring national awareness to Jersey’s craft beer scene.
Brews by the Bay tickets are available for one session or two by visiting getfreshinnj.ticketleap.com/brewsbythebay/.
