Belleplain State Forest is one of Cape May County’s gems. The massive state forest, pioneered by the Army Corps of Engineers during the Great Depression, boasts inexpensive camping opportunities, lots of great hikes, a beautiful lake with a swimming beach, kayak rentals, and lots of great events all year long. Step away from the beaches and onto the trails with one of these great May events hosted by Belleplain staff.
