Congress Hall heats things up this winter with some of the hottest entertainment around during their annual winter concert series. Starting January 27 and running through April, the area’s top local acts will be entertaining guests in the Grand Ballroom. From sing-alongs to doo wop, there’s something for everyone. JANUARY 27 – 5:30 p.m. Sunday Supper and Hymn Sing
Congress Hall’s Grand Ballroom will host the sixth-annual Old-Timey Sunday Supper and Hymn Sing. Each year the community joins together to celebrate the American hymns that directly tie us to our forefathers and to the very beginnings of America as a country. The menu will feature classic comfort food, shared family-style. A collection plate will also be passed for the Cape May Food Closet. National country music scene newcomers and winners of the NextNash 2018 finals in Nashville, Tennessee, TROIKA, will take over Congress Hall’s Grand Ballroom for a night of country, pop, and EDM. APRIL 7 – 7:30 p.m. Doo Wop with Dane Anthony and the Sons of Thunder
One of the most popular bandleaders in South Jersey once again brings his band, the Sons of Thunder, to perform unforgettable songs from a beloved era gone by. Featuring music from the 50’s and more, Dane Anthony’s show brings you tunes such as “Great Balls of Fire”, “Personality”, “Roll Over Beethoven” and a tribute to the Platters.
