If you ever wanted to meet the celebrated poet, Emily Dickinson, now is your chance! ‘Emily’ will appear when Slyvia Baer performs her one-woman play, “A Passion for Life,” based on Dickinson’s life and poems at the Beach Bards Poetry & Prose Reading Series on July 15, 2019. You will meet Emily ‘in person,’ hear her poetry and see her interact with family and friends in the Dickinson homestead. Also featured in this program is poet and performer Bud Cole, who will express his affinity for Emily Dickinson and read his own prize-winning haiku and poetry as well. The Beach Bards Poetry & Prose Reading Series takes place every third Monday at the Sea Isle City Library, 4800 Central Avenue, at 6 p.m., from June through August and is sponsored by the Cape May County Library System.
