This week’s featured mixologist will sweep you away to the tropics! Serving up specialty cocktails behind Urie’s Waterfront Restaurant’s outdoor Tiki Bar, our bartender of the week, Dave, will help you get lost in the sights and sounds of the shore.
Being a native of Wildwood Crest, it’s no wonder Dave knows all about beachside living. He’s been helping patrons drink, dine and unwind at Urie’s every summer since 2010. In the offseason, Dave works in construction and installs flooring.
When asked how he got into bartending, Dave explained that he sort of “fell into it.” He started with barbacking, then eventually learned to bartend and the rest is history. Now, Dave is a well-known bartender at Urie’s, with both locals and visitors often returning to say hello and grab a drink.
Dave’s favorite part about his job at Urie’s is meeting new people. When he isn’t behind the bar, he enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the beach, visiting local bars and attending sporting events.
