Bartender of the Week: Molly Riley at The Inlet North Wildwood

Photos and story by Amanda Sciandra

This week’s featured bartender is Molly Riley at The Inlet North Wildwood. Molly has worked at The Inlet for six years, starting when she was only 18. Molly has gone from working as a hostess, to a waitress, and most recently a bartender.
Molly lives in Bridesburg, Philadelphia, but she stays down at the shore from May to the beginning of September. She actually works at The Inlet all year long, driving down from Philly to work weekends during the rest of the year.
“We always have the locals. There’s a good crowd during Fall, Winter, and Spring,” Molly said.
With the way in which she described working at The Inlet, it’s no surprise that she chooses to work there all year long.
“My friends work here. We really are one big family,” Molly said.
Not only does Molly keep busy bartending, but she’s also enrolled in a nursing program at Holy Family University. Molly comes from a nursing family, with both her mother and grandmother working in the profession.
“My Grandma was a nurse for 40 years and my mom is going on twenty years now,” Molly said.
When she’s not working, Molly enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with her friends, and simply taking the time to relax. However, she seems to really enjoy working at the Inlet and meeting the people who visit.
“I love that people come down here to spend time with their family and friends and that we get to be a part of that experience,” said Molly.
Molly also shared a unique perk of her job which is that it gives her the chance to sing. Not only does she get on stage at the Inlet, but the band LeCompt which frequently performs there, lets her sing the last song of their set while she bartends.

Molly prepared a delicious orange crush with vanilla vodka.

For her signature drink, Molly prepared an extra special orange crush with vanilla vodka.
“I love it with vanilla vodka it’s my favorite way to drink it,” Molly said. If you enjoy the nostalgic taste of a creamsicle, you’re sure to love this drink.
For an incredibly personable bartender as well as the best orange crush by far, head over to the Inlet North Wildwood. With six bars at the Inlet, Molly can typically be found behind the pub bar on the second floor. Stop by the Inlet North Wildwood and pay Molly a visit. Tell her Do the Shore sent you!
