Bartender of the Week: Ice House Restaurant & Bar

Ice House Restaurant & Bar is known for its rooftop deck overlooking scenic Otten’s Harbor, creating a relaxing atmosphere in the middle of the sights and sounds of busy Wildwood. It’s become a top choice for Cape May County dwellers who wish to cool down after a hot summer day, and rightfully so, as our bartender of the week, Christian Bilan, keeps the cool drinks coming.

A native of Lumberton, N.J., Christian spends his summers in Wildwood while off from school. Entering his senior year at York College, Christian plays baseball and studies sports management when he’s not whipping up drinks at the Jersey Shore. Although he started at the Ice House as a barback, he picked up bartending as he went along and worked his way up to serving delicious cocktails to patrons. Christian is now in his third summer at Ice House, but pretty soon you might see him living out his dream job as an athletic director!

When Christian isn’t behind the bar, he likes to hang out on the other side. His favorite drink to sip on at Ice House is one he created himself, a concoction consisting of grapefruit juice, Bacardi Rum, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur and sour mix.

Come visit Christian and ask him to make you his specialty! Daily Happy Hour on the deck is 4 to 6 p.m. featuring $1 off beers. Additionally, Ice House offers other specials throughout the week like $2 soft chicken or fish tacos on Mondays, $2 Buck Chuck from 6 to 11 p.m. on Tuesdays and half price select appetizers on Wednesdays!
