Bartender of the Week: Bobby Dee at Country Club Tavern

BartenderCCT

Country Club Tavern is “your hometown neighborhood meeting place” in Cape May Court House with amazing people, cold drinks, and great pub style meals. This week, grab your friends and head over to the “CCT” to meet the bartender of the week, Bobby Dee!

Bobby Dee has worked at the Country Club Tavern for the past three years, but he’s been bartending in the Wildwood area since he was 17. Bobby moved to Wildwood from South Philly as a teenager and took a job as a bouncer at Quo Vadis. Shortly after starting, the manager transitioned him to bartending because he thought it would be a good fit. Turns out, it was! And Bobby’s been bartending around Wildwood ever since.

Bobby enjoys seeing his regular customers and the vacationers that come back to Country Club Tavern year after year. If you’re looking for a drink recommendation, customers said Bobby makes an amazing (and strong) Long Island Iced Tea.

When Bobby isn’t working, he loves to write music and perform in his free time. He created a CD called “This Is My Story” with 16 terrific tracks. The proceeds from the CD go to Gilda’s Club South Jersey, a community of South Jersey people whose lives have been touched by cancer, to provide emotional and social support; information and inspiration; fellowship and fun; hope and heart. Bobby knows so many people who have been affected by or lost their battle to cancer, so it was important to him to donate the proceeds from the CD to this organization. You can purchase the CD for $10 at Gildas Club South Jersey or gildasclubsouthjersey.org.

Next time you’re in Cape May Court House, make sure to stop by the bar at Country Club Tavern to meet Bobby Dee and learn more about his music! Browse the beer menu and choose a brew from the extensive line of craft beers. Enjoy live music on select nights or stop in on a game night for Quizzo or Name That Tune! Open daily for lunch and dinner with nightly food and drink specials.
