Bartender of the Week: Boathouse Restaurant

Boathouse Restaurant, located at the foot of the Wildwood Bridge is best known for its fresh seafood, steaks and sunsets. What some may not know is that they also make delicious drinks that are well worth the stop. This week, we stopped by Boathouse to meet with Brent, one of the restaurant’s bartenders, to learn more about the face behind the drink. Originally from Endicott, NY, Brent made the move to Wildwood three years ago to live here full time. Brent has been bartending at the Boathouse Restaurant for two years and has been a bartender for 25! What draws him back to the profession? “The people; being able to interact with them and celebrate their birthdays, anniversaries, holidays…” explained Brent. When he is not working and in the off-season, Brent says he enjoys spending time with his family including his five children and dog.

For a drink recommendation, he volunteered the very popular, Voodoo Bucket or one of the many delicious frozen beverages. For bar food he suggested their great flatbreads and for a dinner entrée, he immediately said the Seafood Fra Diablo – his favorite. Visit Brent and the rest of the friendly Boathouse staff members seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. and on. Sunset specials are available every day from 4 to 5 p.m. and Happy Hour is daily, 4 to 6 p.m.
