Beach Creek Oyster Bar & Grille is a tropical getaway right here in Cape May County, boasting island palms and flowers, bamboo features, a soft breeze and waterfront views. What could possibly make this paradise any better? Cool cocktails, of course, served by our very own bartender of the week, Steph Hill.
A Cape May County native from Erma, Steph began spending her summers working at Beach Creek back in 2013. She started as a hostess, then became a server and eventually reached bartender status after some training. During the rest of the year, Steph attends Stockton University for Elementary Education.
We asked Steph what her favorite part about the job is, and she told us, “I love everyone I work with.” She also enjoys the uniqueness of Beach Creek’s menu, offering contemporary coastal cuisine with an international flair. Her recommended drink is the popular Pineapple Upside Down Cake Martini, made with coconut rum, vanilla vodka, Licor 43 and pineapple juice.
When Steph isn’t serving up cocktails behind the bar at Beach Creek, she enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with friends.
Stop by and see Steph and the rest of the Beach Creek crew during Happy Hour from 3 to 5 p.m. at the new outside bar. If you choose to dine early, try the First Seating Three-Course Menu for $25, offered between 4 and 6 p.m., which includes your choice of soup or salad, an excellent entree, house dessert and coffee!
