This week’s featured mixologist might be a familiar face to those who enjoy a night out in Cape May. Noreen Cicero comes to us from the Bare Foot Bar & Restaurant at the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel, but previously bartended at the Schooner American at the Lobster House for three years and Cabanas for 10. Needless to say, she is no stranger to Cape May and is very connected in the community.
Originally from Kingston, Pa., not too far from Scranton, Noreen moved to the Cape May area 14 years ago due to a family business. She now lives here full-time, and has been working at the Marquis year round since March 2016. She will attend nursing school in the fall at Atlantic Cape Community College to obtain her RN, and will then attend Rutgers for her BSN.
When we asked Noreen what her favorite part about working at the Bare Foot Bar is, she responded, “Definitely being on the beach and outside, and getting to work with an amazing staff.” Her favorite drink at the Bare Foot Bar is Sunset Celebration, one of the bar’s signature drinks that she helped create
When Noreen isn’t serving up drinks behind the bar, she enjoys spending time at the beach, relaxing, shopping and challenging herself to learn – she seeks out new knowledge every day!
You can visit Noreen at the Bare Foot Bar & Restaurant at the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel, situated on Beach Avenue in the middle of the sights and sounds of Cape May with public access from the street. Happy Hour is from 4 to 7 p.m. daily offering $5 crushes, margaritas, wine, plain or margarita flatbreads, zucchini sticks, and tortellini, tomato and mozzarella skewers, and $1 off craft beers.
