Avalon’s Festival of Trees  

Through Saturday, Nov.  26   

Thanksgiving festivities begin with the start of the Festival of Trees. Starting Friday, Nov. 18, shoppers can cross off items on their Christmas list while visiting stores throughout town. While in stores, you’ll see a variety of beautifully decorated trees and wreaths of varying themes for you to bid on!

Dune Drive, Avalon   

Thanksgiving is over, now it’s time to get festive! Festive Friday officially returns! Stroll down Dune Drive on Friday and enjoy a ton of activities! From live music to children’s performances, character appearances, face painting, an art bar, crafts, giveaways, hot chocolate, and more! The list goes on so be sure to check the schedule, and plan ahead, this day will keep you busy!

This Black Friday 5k benefits the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children. If you don’t register online, you can register in-person on race day between 8 and 9:30 a.m.  

Avalon’s Snowfest Saturday

Finally,b after a 2-year hiatus, Santa Claus himself is set to return for fun and family photos! Families can enjoy bounce houses, carnival rides, obstacles courses, and more! 

Stone Harbor’s Hospitality Night & Tree Lighting  

Friday, Nov. 25 from 6 to 9 p.m.  

The evening starts with a festive tree lighting at 6 p.m. Afterwards, enjoy a festive evening sipping & shopping your way throughout our wonderful small businesses. Bring your holiday shopping lists and SHOP SMALL, while enjoying complimentary sips & snacks.  

Stone Harbor’s Holiday Weekend and Christmas Parade  

Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25 & 26 – Parade at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 26  

Downtown Stone Harbor  

Bring the family to Santa’s summer home and enjoy a variety of activities to celebrate the holidays including a Holiday Market, Pet Parade, Tree Lighting, Hospitality Night, Kids’ Downtown Holiday Dash, and a Caroling event. Stone Harbor’s Christmas Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 26 and travel along Third Ave. from 107th Street, right onto 96th Street to Second Ave.  

Wreath Making  

Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m.  

Avalon Free Public Library  

Express your style and create your own holiday wreath with fresh greens and colorful accessories. Bad Cat Farms will host the event and provide the materials. Avalon property owners may register beginning Nov. 6. All others may register beginning Nov. 27 – register online at avalonfreelibrary.org/events/art-workshop-wreath-making 

Harp Performance with Stephanie Sussmeier

New Year’s Eve Fireworks

The 2nd annual celebration returns to Avalon with a beautiful display of fireworks to kick-off 2023. Bring the family and enjoy music, crafts, and hot chocolate at Surfside Park followed by a beautiful display of lights from the 30th street beach.
