August at ELTC: “Vaudeville Variety,” “Tales,” and a Student Performance

Just one example of what people are saying about East Lynne Theater’s “Vaudeville Variety:” “ELTC makes Vaudeville come alive again! I loved being in the outdoors so close to sunset! Thank you!” – Gus from Cape May

Performers are Will and Holly Knapp, Susan Tischler, and Amanda Brinlee and it was created and directed by Gayle Stahlhuth, assisted by James Rana. Skits include “Day at the Races,” actual household hints like “kerosene cleans anything,” and songs including “Some of These Days.”

“Vaudeville Variety” is performed outside at West Cape May Borough Hall’s “Back Yard,” 732 Broadway on these Saturdays at 7:00PM: August 21 and 28. Tickets: $25; $20 for students and military, and ages 12 and under free. Visit https://www.eastlynnetheater.org/vaudeville-variety.html.

Thursdays at 4:00 through August 26 is “Tales in the Backyard,” with different stories weekly read by actors, for only $5. Reservations required, and the location is revealed when making one by calling 609-884-5898 or e-mailing eastlynneco@aol.com. Upcoming include works by O. Henry.

After 24 rehearsal hours, students ages 12-16 perform a show admission-free on Friday, August 11 at 8:00PM at Cape May Presbyterian Church, ELTC’s usual performance venue.
