Annual Strawberry Festival Returns to West Cape May June 1

Strawberries 1

The 21st annual Strawberry Festival is being held again this year in beautiful Wilbraham Park (West Perry and Broadway) in West Cape May on Saturday, June 1 (rain date June 2) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This much anticipated event features over 100 vendors, all celebrating the official fruit of spring! Enjoy the Strawberry Shortcake prepared by the Cape May Technical High School students whose proceeds benefit their after-prom party. Vendors will be offering strawberries in wonderful foods: muffins, cookies, floats, shaved ice, dips, empanadas, ice cream, lemonade and handcrafted sodas.

The top food vendors will be back with crab cakes, seafood kabobs, pulled pork, barbeque chicken, hot dogs and sausages. Shop with our artisans for strawberry pottery, jewelry, tee shirts, honey, wine and lots more! There will be antiques, collectibles, artwork, clothing, accessories, birdhouses and garden art.

The strawberry-eating turtles will return (provided it’s not too cold) with the Turtle Singer! Live music will be playing all day: 9:00 a.m.,. Bill the Steel Drum Guy; 11:00 a.m. Blondage; 1:00 p.m. Five Time Famous and 3:15 p.m. The Geno White Trio. Singer/songwriter Angelina Bella will be entertaining us throughout the day. The crowning of the Strawberry Queen and King will be at 3 p.m. Yes, you could win! The event is a great way to celebrate the spring and welcome in the summer season! Sponsored by the West Cape May Business Association.
