CAPE MAY – The 9th annual Singer-Songwriter of Cape May Conference & Showcase will be held March 18 and 19, 2016 at the historic Congress Hall and 16 stages in Cape May.
Music industry professionals and over 150 original acts and artists will participate in the weekend conference and showcase. The conference features two afternoons of music business panels, workshops, mentoring and keynotes. At night, acts and artists showcase their new music with performances at select Cape May live music venues. Conference registration is $75 and is open to the public. All showcase performances at night are free, open to the public and start after 7 p.m.
The keynotes and featured concert performances will be provided by Denver-born, Los Angeles based Singer-Songwriter Jill Sobule on Friday, March 18 and Philadelphia’s Ben Arnold on Saturday, March 19. They will each address the conference at 5:15 p.m. and then perform for the public after 8 p.m. on the Grand Ballroom stage of Congress Hall. Tickets for the Ballroom concerts are $10 in advance and all ages are permitted to attend.
The 2016 SS Cape May showcase venues are: Aleathea’s Restaurant at The Inn of Cape May, Cabanas Beach Bar, Carney’s, Carney’s Other Room, The Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May, C-View Inn, Delaney’s Irish Pub, Elaine’s Dinner Theater, Fins Bar & Grille, Lucky Bones Backwater Grill, The Mad Batter, Marq’s Pub, Oyster Bay Restaurant & Bar, The Ugly Mug and the Brown Room, Boiler Room and Grand Ballroom of Congress Hall.
