1. AirFest 2016
Friday, September 2 to Monday, September 5 at 9 a.m.
Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum , Cape May Airport, 500 Forrestal Rd., Rio Grande
AirFest is NASW’s largest annual event and many great new events have been added to the already stellar lineup! The Collings Foundation flies in with WWII bombers, including B-24 Liberator, B-17 Flying Fortress and P-51Mustang. Enjoy live music, food trucks, a beer garden, vendors, exhibits and kids’ activities throughout the weekend, plus NASW’s 26 historic aircraft and other fascinating exhibits. 2. The King and Queen of Plop
Friday, September 2 at 11 a.m.
Ninth Street Beach, Ocean City
This annual event welcomes the fall season. Contestants are asked to greet the fall, always a lovely time of year, by plopping dramatically to the sand in slow motion. Those performing the most dramatic renditions will be crowned the King and Queen of Plop. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Entry is free. Trophies will be awarded to the King and Queen. 3. The Voice – Nadjah Nicole & Band
Friday, September 2 at 7 p.m.
Middle Township Performing Arts Center, 212 Bayberry Dr., Cape May Court House
Nadjah Nicole from NBC’s Emmy Award-winning TV Show “The Voice” will be performing at the PAC! This concert is a fundraiser sponsored by Cape Bank and Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro to benefit the youth of Cape May County who receive scholarship funds, and attend the Homework Institute (after school academic assistance program) and Rainbow Summer Camp (9 week summer camp program). 4. Hands-On History Weekend
Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4 at 10 a.m.
Historic Cold Spring Village, 720 Route 9, Cape May
Two days of family-friendly, interactive and educational fun are planned for Historic Cold Spring Village’s “Hands-On History” Weekend from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Children will be given a “Pastport” at the start of their Village trip, which can be stamped at the buildings they visit after completing a take-home craft or activity, like writing with a quill pen, carding wool or making a pinch pot. Pastports can be redeemed at the Country Store for a free treat! Other family-friendly activities include historic dress up, games and live entertainment from traditional musician Mary Roth. 5. Lucky Ducky Festival

Ship N’ Shore Bar & Grill, 434 W. Montgomery Ave., Wildwood
Ship N’ Shore’s Lucky Ducky Festival will be held Saturday, September 3. Each duck is a $5 donation with a chance to win $1,500 in the Lucky Ducky Race, which starts at 2 p.m. The race takes place at Otten’s Harbor behind Ship N’ Shore. Ducks may be purchased at Ship N’ Shore. Food and merchant vendors will be there! All proceeds will benefit Shriners, Special Olympics and St. Jude.
