5 Ways to Do The Shore This Weekend: March 17-19

1. Cape May’s 1st Annual Paddy’s Day Polar Bear Plunge & 5K
Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18

The festivities begin Friday night with a bar crawl starting at 6 p.m. at Jackson & Decatur streets. After the bar crawl, Carney’s will hold a King & Queen Costume Contest. The next morning at 9 a.m., head back to Carney’s for Kegs & Eggs. Breakfast is complimentary for all participants, and walk-ins are welcome with payment. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 11 a.m., and the march to the ocean led by the King & Queen begins at 1 p.m. Then, it’s plunge time! Cost of registration for both the 5K and the plunge is $25 for early registration, $30 for day-of registration and $15 for kids 14 and under. Register early online at www.carneysnj.com. 2. Search for Clues Tour – Sherlock Holmes Weekend

Join Sherlock Holmes and his partner, Dr. Watson for a weekend of mystery and intrigue in “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of The Discarded Woman.” Stalk the gaslit streets in search of clues and compete for the $250 grand prize and a variety of other valuable gifts as you attempt to solve the mystery. Full weekend packages are available for $200 per couple or $105 per person and include the welcome reception, performances, tour, luncheon and gift. Weekend overnight packages are also available. 3. East Lynne Theater Company Presents ‘Holmes and Carter Mysteries’

This vintage-radio style production is performed in the style of radio shows from the 1930s through the 1950s. Complete with live sound effects and commercials, the show follows two great detectives – Sherlock Holmes and Nick Carter – and features Adventure of the Red-Headed League and The Voice of Crime. Tickets are $27 general admission, $17 for students and free for ages 12 and under. 4. Fishing & Boating Expo

All fishing and boating enthusiasts are invited to the all-NEW Fishing & Boating Expo hosted by 3 Girls Skirts.
