Join Matt Szczur of the Chicago Cubs at his 2nd Annual Szcz the Day Dinner! A Villanova alum, Matt is a bone marrow donor that saved the life of a young Ukrainian girl named Anastasia. Now a professional athlete with Major League Baseball, Matt and his wife Natalie have dedicated part of the offseason to giving back to the local community, as well as to raise awareness and funds for marrow donation via The Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation. Tickets are $80 and include open bar, hors d’oeuvers, live and silent auction, gourmet buffet dinner, door prizes and raffle, entertainment and dancing! No paper tickets will be mailed out. 2. Center for Community Arts Exhibit ‘Moore History’

The Center for Community Arts (CCA) once again presents an exhibit in association with the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) that highlights and illuminates African-American life and history in Cape May and the surrounding region. This year’s exhibit is entitled “Moore History: The Life and Works of William J. Moore.” Dates and hours of the exhibit vary. 3. Soroptimist Sunday Social

Soroptimist International is a global organization that has a chapter in Cape May County with a membership of 60. Their focus is to empower women and young girls, granting awards and fundraising to support those in need in Cape May County. Soroptimist of Cape May has been chosen to be a recipient of a “Fins Social Sunday Event” on Jan. 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Sunday Socials are a way to have fun and help local organizations throughout the winter months with offerings to make your own Bloody Marys and Mimosas as well as other drink and brunch specials. Live entertainment adds to the fun spirited atmosphere that Fins is known for. Soroptimist International of Cape May County will receive 50 percent of the total proceeds collected from the event which will be used for educational scholarships for women and girls. 4. Crafts with Critters

Come join our education staff for an extra special animal craft project. Guest critters will be on hand to help! This program will be held every Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. Ages 3 to 10 and parents/caregivers are welcome. Crafts with critters will be held at the Education Station just outside the zoo entrance. No registration is necessary, just drop by! Cost is just $5 per child/craft project. Get ready to roll at Cape May Convention Hall for winter roller skating! Guests may bring their own standard or in-line skates or they can rent them from our facility. Admission fee is $5 per person.
