5 Ways to Do The Shore This Weekend: August 19-21

1. ‘Monsters on the Beach’ Monster Truck Beach Races
Friday, August 19 at 7 p.m., Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21 at 1 p.m.
Wildwood Beach from Lincoln to Spencer avenues
Monster trucks will race on the Wildwood Beach. Friday night features qualifying races beginning at 7 p.m. (not a full show.) Saturday features two races at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday features title races and tough truck races starting at 1 p.m. Gates open one hour before each start time. 4. Wildwood’s Baseball on the Beach Tournament
Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21 at 9 a.m.
Rio Grande Avenue Beach, Wildwood
The sounds of a cracking bat, arcing ball and the cheers of spectators will be heard as part of Wildwood’s Baseball on the Beach Tournament. This exciting tournament, supported by Wildwood Beach Services, will bring teams of players, aged 9 – 12, from throughout the nation to experience this inaugural event. Teams are divided into four divisions, 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U, with a maximum number of four teams for each level. Four playing fields will be set up and seating areas will be provided. 5. Ocean City Pops – ‘Showboat in Concert’

The Ocean City Pops presents “Showboat in Concert.” Maestro Scheible conducts a stellar cast of singers plus the Cape Shore Chorale.
