2. 18th Annual Middle Township Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 24 and 10 a.m.
Downtown Mechanic St. near Township Hall, Cape May Court House
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Harvest Fest will feature food, crafts, entertainment, amusement rides, balloon artists, pumpkin decorating and more. The event will also include special appearances between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. by SpongeBob and Hello Kitty. A costume contest for children up to age 10 will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Pets will have a chance to showcase their costumes in a contest from 3:30 to 4 p.m. All costume contest participants must pre-register at the festival’s ticket booth.
3. Cape May County Library – Pumpkin Hayride
Saturday, October 24 at 12:30 p.m.
Lower Cape Branch Library, 2600 Bayshore Rd., Villas
Adults and children alike are welcome to celebrate the best parts of autumn with us as we take a hayride through a local pumpkin patch. We will meet at the Lower Library for a short presentation on pumpkins and other fall squash, then drive the short distance to Les Rae’s Farm at the beanery for a hay ride, after which patrons will be able to choose a pumpkin in the field to take home. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all patrons must register beforehand. Event is FREE! 4. Lower Township’s Haunted Trails

Cape May County Airport, 507 Terminal Dr. #102, Lower Township
The trails along the county airport in Lower Township are going to get seriously spooky on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Those who are brave enough to walk through the Haunted Trails are invited to the grounds of the Cape May County Airport for this free community event. Anyone who is interested in creating and coordinating their own haunted scene is encouraged to call (609) 886-7880 ext. 8.
5. Annual Island Pumpkin Fest
Sunday, October 25 at 10 a.m.
Fox Park and Wildwoods Beach, Wildwood
The 3rd Annual Island Pumpkin Fest will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family fun event will feature great FREE entertainment, craft vendors and food. Take a hayride to the Great Pumpkin Patch behind the Wildwoods Convention Center. Cost is $7 for children and $3 parents. For more information, call (609) 374-6213.
