2. National Folkstyle Wrestling
Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 at 8 a.m.
Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
The Atlantic Coast Wrestling Association will host the 14th Annual “War at the South Jersey Shore” National Folkstyle Wrestling Championships. Competitions will take place on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. This event will feature a youth wrestling tournament with over 50 weight classes spread across five age divisions and a high school division with 16 weight classes. This year’s wrestling tournament will feature a K-12 Girls Division as well as traditional open girls and boy’s youth and high school divisions. Awards will be presented immediately after completion of wrestling in each bracket and certification of results. 3. Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Family Fun Night & Bonfire
Friday, April 14 at 6 p.m.
Wildwood Beach at Rio Grande Avenue, Wildwood
Grab a blanket or beach chair and enjoy a relaxing spring night on the Wildwoods’ beach during the all-NEW Family Fun Night and Bonfire from 6 to 10 p.m. If inclement weather is forecasted, the event will take place on Saturday, April 15. Event attendees will enjoy music by DJ Slice, a family game garden, and giant bonfire. S’mores pits and food/snack stations will be available for an additional fee. Admission is $10 per person for those 13 years and older, and $5 for children 12 years and younger. Proceeds will benefit the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Mission Statement in support of the betterment of the Wildwoods. 4. Turtle Fest 2017
Saturday, April 15 at 9 a.m.
The Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor
Come enjoy a pancake breakfast and activities for the whole family! Pancake breakfast seatings are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Seatings fill up quickly so be sure to make a reservation! While you’re at The Wetlands Institute for Turtle Fest, earn a few turtle bucks and cash them in for prizes. Go on an egg hunt, create arts and crafts, help a naturalist search for turtle hatchlings along the trail, enjoy two special book readings by local authors and stop by the aquarium to watch the animals have breakfast, too! 5. Polar Bear & Pup Plunge
Saturday, April 15 at 11 a.m.
Beachcomber Camping Resort, 462 Seashore Rd., Cape May
Join Beachcomber for the 18th Annual Polar & 5th Annual Pup Plunge to benefit the Cape May County Animal Shelter. All plungers enjoy frigid water, snacks, a T-shirt, a hayride and an afternoon bonfire! Pups will receive treats as well. Leashed pups can splash along the shore line and go in as far as they wish, or they can stick to prancing along the sand. Costumes are encouraged for everyone, pups included. Prizes will be awarded.
