The popular free Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series at beautiful Centennial Park is set to return for the 2021 season after a one-year hiatus due to the health crisis.
The first of 25 live music shows at Centennial Park is scheduled for Saturday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m. with Parrotbeach performing all the hits and popular songs by Jimmy Buffett.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue, just steps from the beach.
Subsequent Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series shows will be held each Saturday through Sept. 18 and each Wednesday through Sept. 1. All shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park. Admission to each show is free. Attendees should bring a blanket or a chair.
The first Wednesday performance of the series on June 30 will feature Barefoot Bobby and the Breakers, performing pope and rock favorites.
A special Fourth of July show with Don’t Call Me Francis will also take place on Sunday, July 4. In addition, a special Friday performance is scheduled for July 30, when The Chatterband takes the stage in a rescheduled date from the postponed show from the Wildwood Crest Summer Kickoff Concert on Memorial Day weekend.
The Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series, the largest and most comprehensive municipal concert series at the Jersey Shore, regularly draws thousands to Centennial Park.
The series includes many of the East Coast’s top tribute acts and cover bands performing a wide variety of music, from oldies to today’s rock-and-roll and dance hits.
In addition to Parrotbeach, other tribute bands scheduled for the 2021 Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series include the B Street Band (Bruce Springsteen), Damn The Torpedoes (Tom Petty), Dead Reckoning (Grateful Dead) and Mystical Majesty Band (Beatles).
Some of the other top dance and party bands scheduled to appear this summer include Legacy Band, Kevin Miller’s Smashed, Legacy Band, Reign Band and many more. In addition, one of the top modern country bands on the circuit, Shot of Southern, is also scheduled to appear.
