CAPE MAY— Enjoy a delicious tea luncheon and intimate music during the award-winning 27th annual Cape May Music Festival when members of the Bay Atlantic Symphony perform mini-concerts under the Carriage House Café & Tearoom tent. Bach’s Lunches are presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC). Cape May Music Festival was chosen “Favorite Music Festival” in the 2016 annual People’s Choice Awards administered by the Discover Jersey Arts program of ArtPride New Jersey.
Bach’s Lunches feature an elegant tea luncheon at the Carriage House Café & Tearoom located on the beautiful grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, an 1879 Victorian house museum, 1048 Washington St., followed by an intimate mini-concert with members of the Bay Atlantic Symphony. Enjoy a delicious luncheon while overlooking the lovely garden as musicians from this nationally recognized ensemble perform favorites from the classical repertoire.
Bach’s Lunches are offered on Wednesdays, June 1, 8 and 15 at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person and reservations are limited. The 27th annual Cape May Music Festival features 13 great events in three weeks, now through Thursday, June 16, and is presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) with funding by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
The People’s Choice Awards take place annually to honor the work of New Jersey’s vital, vibrant and diverse arts community. More than 21,000 ballots were cast statewide in 2016 – the greatest number of votes since the program’s inception in 2008. The Cape May Music Festival was among more than 110 arts organizations and downtown districts nominated for the awards in 16 categories. The Festival garnered 2,631 votes, the most among seven nominees, in the “Favorite Music Festival” category. It was honored at the New Jersey Conference on Tourism at the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City March 4.
