The Borough of Wildwood Crest has planned its largest Summer Music Series schedule to date.
A total of 29 evenings of live musical entertainment for the entire family are on tap in the eighth annual Wildwood Crest Free Summer Music Series, which is set to begin next week. Live music will be held at 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday and Saturday from June 24 through Sept. 5 at the entertainment pavilion at Centennial Park, located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue.

Maura McKinney Maestro Concert

Lighthouse Full Moon Climb: Let the light of the full moon guide you up the 199 stairs to the starry top. Independence Day Weekend
Thursday, July 2nd to Saturday July 4th

Celebrate our country’s birthday at America’s Oldest Seaside Resort with a whole weekend full of patriotic events. Thursday, visitors can enter or watch Cape Resorts All-American Idol, an all-American themed vocal/instrumental competition. Friday, July 3, Congress Hall’s Grand Lawn hosts Square Dancing and a fried chicken picnic with all the fixin’s – we’ll even provide the blanket! Saturday, July 4, enjoy Congress Hall’s annual lobster bake, picnic BBQ, complete with carnival games and face painting, leading up to fireworks at 9 pm. The holiday weekend wraps up on Sunday, but not before a patriotic scavenger hunt and Sundae Social.

Peter Max: A Tribute to America

Legendary artist Peter Max returns to Stone Harbor over the fourth of July weekend, bringing with him a never-before-seen collection of his greatest and most-revered imagery spanning four decades. The new exhibition speaks to the evolution and maturation of America’s most popular living artist, offering a journey through the career of a pop icon that has defined American art and began a new visual culture.“Peter Max: A Tribute to America” will be on display Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Meet Peter Max at receptions from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Friday, July 3 and from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 4.

Dinner & Fireworks

Here’s an exclusive chance to see an Independence Day celebration from the best vantage point of all: atop the Cape May Lighthouse. Participants will be picked up by MAC’s trolley at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth and taken to the Red Store in Cape May Point for a delicious, seasonal, five-course dinner prepared by Chef Lucas Manteca. After dinner, board the trolley for a short ride to Cape May Lighthouse, where you will climb to the top to watch the fireworks from the watch gallery. Sea Isle City’s Got Talent

Starting June 26, the Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization’s “Sea Isle City’s Got Talent” contests will take place on Fri. evenings at the Band Shell, where an impressive line-up of amateur performers will compete for cash prizes – and the chance to advance to the event’s Grand Finale on August 21.

Fireworks on the Beach

Fourth of July Beach ‘n Boardwalk Patriotic Run/Walk
Saturday, July 4th at 9 a.m.
Where: Begins at the Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood
Registration begins at 8 a.m. Race starts at 9 a.m. The 5K Fun Run will begin at the Wildwoods Sign and travel North to the Wildwoods Convention Center and then down the boardwalk extension to the beach. The route will run South and continue on the hard packed sand to Primrose Avenue in Wildwood Crest, looping back to the Wildwoods Convention Center for the completion of the race. The 1 Mile Walk will go down the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue and back to the Wildwoods Convention Center. Medals will be presented to the top 5 male and the top 5 female finishers. All funds raised from this event will be used to help maintain the Wildwoods Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Rain or shine. Upper Township Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks

A concert featuring three live bands, including The Kenny Young Band, along with food vendors and lots of activities for the children.

Middle Township Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks
Saturday, July 4th at 5 p.m.
Where: Dealy Field, 626 Goshen Road, Cape May Court House
The celebration includes a magic show, live music by Thirsty Wilson, a water slide and bounce house, Captain America, pie eating contest, a ‘little patriotic’ contest (ages 6 months to 8 years) and food and craft vendors. Admission is free and some attractions require a small fee.

Fourth of July Celebration

The Atlantic Pops Orchestra Concert
Saturday, July 4th at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Excursion Park Band Shell, Sea Isle City
The evening of July 4th will kick-off with a free concert by The Atlantic Pops Orchestra from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Excursion Park Band Shell, located at JFK Boulevard and the Promenade. The concert will feature a variety of patriotic music that will have toes tapping and hands clapping. Immediately following the Atlantic Pops Concert, Sea Isle City’s annual Independence Day Fireworks Show will begin at 9:00 p.m. July 4. The “rocket’s red glare” will be launched from an ocean barge anchored near the 50th Street Beach, which will make Sea Isle’s Promenade and other beach-front areas ideal viewing locations. The rain date for the fireworks show is July 5.

Philly Pops Patriotic Concert

The Philly Pops Orchestra will perform a FREE Fourth of July Patriotic Concert at Fox Park, Burk & Ocean Avenues in Wildwood, at 8:30 p.m. This event will be sponsored by the City of Wildwood and the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA).
