Thrillist.com (http://www.thrillist.com/), an online forum focused on food, drink and travel, recently announced the Wildwoods as the ‘Most Beautiful Place’ in New Jersey.
Thrillist Media Group polled residents and tourism boards from each state to determine what the must-see spot was within each state. The accolade highlighted the Wildwoods’ beaches, English gardens and historic lighthouse.
“We’re extremely honored to be recognized by Thrillist.com, a website with a strong position on travel, as the Most Beautiful Place in New Jersey,” said John Siciliano, Executive Director for the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement & Development Authority (GWTIDA).
The website states, “Not far from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk and downtown fun are the most beautiful sites in New Jersey, right here in the Wildwoods; serene and scenic escapes – perfect for those who enjoy the softer surroundings of nature’s bounty and beauty. Sometimes it’s good to get away from the action for a bit of peace and serenity; and the Wildwoods offer that opportunity, too.”
The Wildwoods are known for its beautiful, expansive free beaches, its two and a half-mile iconic Boardwalk with three amusement piers with over 100 rides and attractions, three beachfront Waterparks, shops, arcades, games and over 300 eateries. In addition, the Wildwoods are home to the largest collection of Mid-Century architecture in the country and over 8,000 hotel-motel rooms and 3,000 vacation rentals.
